Music Ministry

All are invited to become part of the Music Ministry by lifting your voice, ringing a bell, or strumming a guitar. Hymns, responses, and offertory music are all carefully selected to enhance the worship experience. The power of music is expressed so beautifully in Verse 2 of the United Methodist Hymnal #68:
How often, making music, we have found a new dimension in the world of sound,
as worship moved us to a more profound Alleluia!
 
There is always room for more singers, ringers, and instrumentalists.  You are invited to expand your own worship experience by considering participating in one of our music groups.  All you have to do is make your interest known to the various directors, and more details will be shared with you. Cina Crisara, our director of music, is also the director of the Chancel Choir, Trinity Singers and the Saint John's Singers.

No auditions are necessary.

Chancel Choir: meets Wednesdays, from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
Sings many Sundays, and also at special services throughout the year.
Open to all voice types.
Director: Cina Crisara

Trinity Singers: meets on designated Wednesdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
Occasionally sings for a Sunday service. Rehearses two Wednesdays prior to those days.
Open to Soprano and Alto voices.
Director: Cina Crisara

Jones Handbell Choir: meets Wednesdays from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Plays Sunday services several times a year, and on special occasions.
Some music reading ability is helpful.
Interim Director: Dylan Graves

Saint John's Singers: meets on designated Wednesdays, from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
Occasionally meets at additional agreed-upon times.
Designed for more experienced singers.
Sings on chosen Sundays. This group performs the Lenten Stepping Stone service.

Travels to nursing homes and retirement centers to share light-hearted programs.

Spirit Singers is looking for a director and volunteers: Occasional Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour.
For all children in grades K through 5. Occasionally sings in a Sunday service.

Gospel Birds: meets on designated Thursday nights, and Saturday mornings (adjustable, depending on personnel)
Sings on occasional Sundays, and special occasions.
Members should have the ability to sing harmonies, and/or play guitar, percussion, and possibly other instruments
