Choir“When in Our Music God is Glorified” from The United Methodist Hymnal # 68
August is here, and that means something special for the Music Ministry. Saint John’s musicians are about ready to fill their folders with new music to learn and share with their church family. On August 14, the Chancel Choir will have its first rehearsal and begin to prepare music for the early fall worship services.
This is my hearty invitation to you to become part of the Music Ministry by lifting your voice, ringing a bell, or strumming a guitar. Hymns, responses, and offertory music are all carefully selected to enhance the worship experience. The power of music is expressed so beautifully in Verse 2 of UMH #68:
How often, making music, we have found a new dimension in the world of sound,
as worship moved us to a more profound Alleluia!
There is ALWAYS room for more singers, ringers, and guitar pickers. You are invited to expand your own worship experience by considering participating in one of our music groups. All you have to do is make your interest known to the various directors, and more details will be shared with you. I am the director of the Chancel Choir, Trinity Singers and the Saint John’s Singers. I welcome your inquiries at firstname.lastname@example.org.
