For our guests

"We are creating a community where God's love changes people and God's people change the world."
You are part of our congregation the moment you walk through the door at Saint John’s United Methodist Church, and our hope is that you feel the fullness of God’s love and the spirit of community when you visit.

At Saint John’s in the heart of the Allandale neighborhood, we participate in a variety of ministries of the church. Whether through our extensive involvement in outreach and mission projects or through our well-rounded offering of spiritual development opportunities, we are a community where God’s love changes people and God’s people change the world.

Children
We love children at Saint John's. We encourage you to bring your little ones to our child-friendly sanctuary for either service. Worship bags are available for their enjoyment and can be picked up just outside the doors to the sanctuary.
The Bethlehem Room, located to the right of the sanctuary doors, is a sound-proof room where you may take small children during the worship service. There, you will still be able to watch and hear the service while tending to your little one.

Childcare
Childcare is available for newborns to 4-year-olds during worship services (9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.), and for newborns to 2-year-olds during the Sunday school hour (9:55 a.m.). Special Sunday School classes are available for older kids at this time. Children need to be signed in and dropped-off in Room 102. For your convenience, pagers are available when dropping off an infant or a child.

Parking
We provide parking spaces near the church. Additional parking is in the Lamar Middle School parking lots as well as the parking area behind HEB.
