What Do We Have For Children?
SUNDAY MORNING ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN
Children Ages 0–4 years
The nursery is open for newborns to 4-year-olds during worship services (9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.), and for newborns to 2-year-olds during the Sunday school hour (9:55 a.m.). Special Sunday School classes are available for older kids at this time.
Children Ages 2½–4
Join us at 9:55 a.m. in Room 105 for “Jesus and Me” Sunday School especially designed for our terrific Two’s and Three’s. **Please note: Children must be two years old by June of the entering year. Childcare is provided in our nursery for these children before and after the Sunday school hour.
Children Ages Kindergarten to 1st Grade
The BibleToons class meets in room 103 each Sunday morning at 9:55 a.m. for a fun-filled hour of Bible adventure, crafts, music and more.
Children 2nd–3rd Grades
Explore the Bible at 9:55 a.m. on Sunday mornings in Room 102. Each week is a new adventure and kids will learn and reinforce the Bible lessons through art, games, movement, and more!
Children
4th-5th Grades
Explore how the bible influences your life at 9:55 a.m. on Sunday mornings in Room 104. Kids will learn and reinforce the lessons through art, games, movement, and more.
Sunday School Teachers
We are always looking for volunteers to help teach, assist and shepherd the
children in our Sunday school program. For some classes, volunteers teach
once a month. For other classes, volunteers may teach a series of lessons.
Curriculum and training are provided. Please contact Tracy Burger for more
information or if you would like to volunteer.
Pre-teens 6th Grade
Our awesome pre-teen class is created for those getting ready to enter our
youth program. Meet at the Youth House across the street from the church
(5908 Wynona Ave). Come check it out!
NURSERY AND CHILDCARE
At Saint John’s, we seek to provide a caring Christian atmosphere for the youngest visitors and members of our community. We are committed to providing a safe and loving environment for your child while in our care.
Childcare for children ages up to four years is provided every Sunday morning from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Children need to be signed in and dropped-off in Room 106.
For your convenience, pagers are available when dropping off an infant or a child.

Childcare is also provided by advance reservation for various classes and special events. A one week notice is required for all childcare requests.

One good source for quality reading materials for children is the United Methodist bookstore Cokesbury. A store is located in South Austin at the corner of S. Lamar and Ben White. Cokesbury is also available on the web at www.cokesbury.com.
